Anastronat 1mg Tablet is used along with other therapies in the treatment of breast cancer in postmenopausal women. Anastronat 1mg is also used to treat women whose breast cancer has worsened after tamoxifen therapy.
What Anastronat 1mg is used for?
anastrozole 1mg uses in women who have finished menopause, for treatment of early breast cancer or treatment of advanced breast cancer, if the cancer has grown, or the disease has spread after tamoxifen therapy
Anastronat 1mg does not work in women with breast cancer who have not finished menopause (premenopausal women)
How to use Anastronat 1mg Tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Anastronat 1mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
How Anastronat 1mg Tablet works
Anastronat 1mg Tablet is an aromatase inhibitor. It works by lowering the amount of estrogen (natural female hormone) produced in the body. This can lower or stop the growth of some breast cancer cells that need estrogen to grow.

If a dose of Anastronat 1mg Tablet is missed, take the dose as soon as you remember it. If anastrozole 1mg dosage is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and take the next dose. Do not double the dose to make up for the missed one.
Seek emergency medical treatment or contact the doctor in case of an overdose.
Safety Information for Anastronat Tablet
Anastronat 1mg Tablet can be taken with food or on an empty stomach with a glass of water or juice. Nausea (upset stomach) and hot flashes (sudden sweating and feelings of warmth) may occur on starting treatment with Anastronat 1mg Tablet but should go away with time.
Your doctor has prescribed Anastronat 1mg Tablet to treat breast cancer. anastrozole 1mg tab lowers estrogen production in your body and reduces the growth of hormone-sensitive tumours.
If nausea is bothersome, take it after meal. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible if it is within 12 hours of the missed dose. If it is more than 12 hours, skip the missed dose and follow your regular dosing schedule.
Warnings for special population
Pregnancy – This medicine is not recommended for use in pregnant women.
Breast-feeding – This medicine is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women.
Premenopausal women – This medicine is not recommended for use in premenopausal women with breast cancer.
Osteoporosis – This medicine should be used with caution in patients with osteoporosis due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient’s condition.
