Altraz 1mg is used along with other therapies in the treatment of breast cancer in postmenopausal women. This medicine is also used to treat women whose breast cancer has worsened after tamoxifen therapy.

How to use Altraz Tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Altraz 1 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
How Altraz Tablet works
Altraz 1 mg Tablet is an aromatase inhibitor. It works by lowering the amount of estrogen (natural female hormone) produced in the body. This can lower or stop the growth of some breast cancer cells that need estrogen to grow.

If a anastrozole dosage is missed, take the dose as soon as you remember it. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and take the next dose. Do not double the dose to make up for the missed one.

Your doctor has prescribed Altraz 1 mg Tablet to treat breast cancer. altraz 1mg lowers estrogen production in your body and reduces the growth of hormone-sensitive tumours.
Altraz 1 mg Tablet can be taken with food or on an empty stomach with a glass of water or juice. Nausea (upset stomach) and hot flashes (sudden sweating and feelings of warmth) may occur on starting treatment with Altraz 1 mg Tablet but should go away with time.
If nausea is bothersome, take it after meal. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible if it is within 12 hours of the missed dose. If it is more than 12 hours, skip the missed dose and follow your regular dosing schedule.
Warnings for special population
Pregnancy – This medicine is not recommended for use in pregnant women.
Breast-feeding – This medicine is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women.
Premenopausal women – This medicine is not recommended for use in premenopausal women with breast cancer.
Osteoporosis – This medicine should be used with caution in patients with osteoporosis due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient’s condition
