What is Anacan 1mg?
Anacan 1mg Tablet is used along with other therapies in the treatment of breast cancer in postmenopausal women. Anacan 1mg is also used to treat women whose breast cancer has worsened after tamoxifen therapy.
What Anacan is used for?
anastrozole uses in women who have finished menopause, for treatment of early breast cancer or treatment of advanced breast cancer, if the cancer has grown, or the disease has spread after tamoxifen therapy
Anacan does not work in women with breast cancer who have not finished menopause (premenopausal women)
How to use Anacan Tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Anacan 1 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
How Anacan Tablet works
Anacan 1 mg Tablet is an aromatase inhibitor. It works by lowering the amount of estrogen (natural female hormone) produced in the body. This can lower or stop the growth of some breast cancer cells that need estrogen to grow.

Your doctor has prescribed Anacan 1 mg Tablet to treat breast cancer. Anacan 1 mg Tablet lowers estrogen production in your body and reduces the growth of hormone-sensitive tumours.
Anacan 1mg Tablet can be taken with food or on an empty stomach with a glass of water or juice. Nausea (upset stomach) and hot flashes (sudden sweating and feelings of warmth) may occur on starting treatment with anastrozole Tablet but should go away with time.
If nausea is bothersome, take it after meal. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible if it is within 12 hours of the missed dose. If it is more than 12 hours, skip the missed dose and follow your regular dosing schedule.
