Temonat 20mg Capsule is an anticancer agent used in the treatment of certain types of brain cancers. Temonat 20mg should be used with caution in patients with a known history of hepatic and renal impairment. It is not recommended for use in children under 3 years of age.

temozolomide uses in the treatment of Anaplastic Astrocytoma (a type of brain cancer).

How to use Temonat Capsule
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole.Do not chew, crush or break it. Temonat 20 mg Capsule is to be taken empty stomach.
How Temonat Capsule works
Temonat 20mg Capsule is an anti-cancer medication. It enters the brain tissues and works by damaging the genetic material (DNA and RNA) of the cancer cells. This stops their growth and multiplication.
Missed Dose : Missing doses of Temonat 20 mg can reduce their usefulness and increase the possibility of developing drug resistance, which makes this drug lose their effectiveness. For best results, it is important to receive each scheduled dose of Temozolomide medication as instructed. If you miss a dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one. If you are not sure what to do after missing a dose, contact your doctor or pharmacist for advice.
Overdose : A wide range of signs and symptoms can occur when a person overdoses, and everyone responds differently. If you’ve taken more than the recommended amount of Temozolomide 20 mg or enough to have a harmful effect on your body’s functions, you have overdosed.

Breast-feeding : Breastfeeding is an essential physiologic process that provides nutrition to the infant and protects the child against infection and immunologic disorders. But, It is not known whether Temonat medicine passes into breast milk or if it could harm a nursing baby. You should not breast-feed while you are using Temozolomide.
Blood cell count – This medicine should be used with caution due to the increased risk of very low blood cell counts. Close monitoring of blood cell counts is necessary during treatment with this medicine. Appropriate dose adjustments or discontinuation of therapy may be required based on the clinical condition.
Impaired kidney function – Temonat 20 mg Capsule should be used with caution in patients with a history of kidney disease due to the increased risk of severe adverse effects. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required based on the clinical condition.
